Hello CSH families and Prospective Families,
I hope you have all had an enjoyable and relaxing summer.
As September approaches, so do the High Holidays. Due to our expenses for the high holidays, the Board has elected to have a minimum donation for high holiday tickets this year, for non-members. The donation amount, which will include all services from Erev Rosh Hashanah through Neilah, will be $300 per family and $150 per individual. All members–in–good-standing will continue to be able to attend services at no additional charge.
Our first Saturday morning service will be held on Saturday September 9th. Other dates for services and events can be found on the website, and as always, through the weekly e–mails.
As a recap to last year, we began new initiatives, and expanded on others. CAJ — Creative Academy of Judaism — was, again, very successful with Saturday morning learning sessions and services. Our online learning opportunities were well received, and will be offered again this year.
We had several well attended and fun events that brought our community together to celebrate holidays.
This year our plans are to expand on CAJ, continue to offer online learning opportunities, and to have more social events that are tied to Jewish holidays.
Please keep reading the Rabbi's weekly announcements. The blogs are very information and thought provoking, and you will get up-to-date announcements about the events and services that will be occurring at CSH.
Looking forward to a wonderful year.
Please do not hesitate to contact Rabbi Cohen or myself with any questions.
