Letter from Our President

September 2016

Hello CSH families and Prospective Families,

I hope you have all had an enjoyable and relaxing summer.

As a recap to last year, we began new initiatives, and expanded on others. CAJ — Creative Academy of Judaism — was very successfully launched with Saturday morning learning sessions and services. We had several well attended and fun events that brought our community together to celebrate holidays. Our plans for this year are to expand on CAJ and offer some online learning opportunities, and to have more social events that are tied to Jewish holidays. We have already started planning events/parties for Chanukah, Tu B'Shvat, Purim, and Passover. We are also expanding our involvement in the community at large with our presence at two 9/11 memorial events.

Important dates to put on your calendars include:
Sunday September 11th — 9/11 Memorial Service in Duxbury
Sunday September 18th — Beach clean up in Marshfield
Sunday October 2nd — Erev Rosh Hashanah
Monday October 3rd — Rosh Hashanah — first day
Tuesday October 4th — Rosh Hashanah — second day
Tuesday October 11th — Kol Nidre
Wednesday October 12th — Yom Kippur
Saturday October 29th — Wine Tasting

Please keep reading the Rabbi's weekly updates (See Rabbi's Announcment on Site Map) for information about the High Holiday service schedule and updates to the above listed events.

Looking forward to a wonderful year.

Please do not hesitate to contact Rabbi Cohen or myself with any questions.

L'Shalom,
