Rabbi's Message

Shirat Hayam means "Song of the Sea," and our mission includes spreading joy of Judaism like song, and being as open and accepting as the sea.

We are a Reconstructionist congregation with a intimate feel. We are dedicated to enhancing Jewish practice, participation and learning, and celebrating our Jewish culture. We welcome interfaith and same sex couples.

Congregation Shirat Hayam hosts services for kids and adults, holiday celebrations, and a vibrant Sunday school, run by dedicated volunteers. Our events are always participatory, and welcoming to people of all backgrounds. We are consistently involved with interfaith dialogue with area Churches, and we share a wonderful place of worship with the Sanctuary Marshfield.

This year is exciting for Shirat Hayam – we’re doing visioning together, and growing stronger as a community daily. We look forward to growing and celebrating together!

Please feel free to attend any one of our upcoming events, or e-mail me to just say hi or with any questions.

I’m looking forward to celebrating with you!
